The Supportive Housing Network of New York (SHNNY) wanted to give their website a design update in order to refresh the organization's brand identity, while also making it mobile-friendly for the increasing number of visitors on handheld devices.

In order to make the site mobile-compatible, HSS coded the page templates so that they could scale to fit a range of devices and screen-sizes, from desktop down to tablet and handheld smartphones.

The page design was updated with more contemporary aesthetic changes, and  the homepage was reorganized to highlight the most frequently utilized areas of the site in order to improve usability.

The advantages of these updates not only resulted in a new and improved brand identity for SHNNY, but also an improved user-experience for site visitors. Furthermore, moving to a mobile-friendly format will help improve SHNNY's visibility on Google searches, due to Google's increasing preference for mobile-friendly sites.

If you're not sure whether or not your website is mobile-compatible, here is a link where you check your site with Google's Mobile-Friendly Test. All you have to do is enter your website's URL and it will tell you whether or not it is mobile-friendly to Google's standards.
