Case Study: Web Site Makeover and Content Management

National Association of Social Workers, Virginia

Challenge

The Virginia Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers wanted to transform their existing web site into a more sophisticated and attractive organizational tool for member communication and interaction. The Chapter also required a solution that would allow them to maintain and update their web site in-house with no programming capabilities required.

Solution

Human Service Solutions constructed a fully dynamic web site with the following features:

  • Custom design integrating the Chapter's image and message
  • Web-Based Content Management System for easy and convenient site updates
  • Integrated database for collection and management of member data
  • Automated secure online forms for processing advertising orders, conference and continuing education registrations
  • Fully integrated email management and message boards for on-demand communication and community-building among membership
  • Password-protected members only area with member-specific features

Result

The Chapter and its members now enjoy an enhanced Internet presence that allows for greater communication between membership and administration while providing value-added benefits and an improved organizational identity.

Our website was delivered on time and on budget, and the initial planning process was incredibly smooth, thanks to your very client-centered philosophy. The resulting website isn't cookie-cutter or boilerplate, and included everything that we wanted - something other web developers just couldn't do.
The response from our members has been incredibly positive. You enabled us, a smaller state association, to provide our members with a website a large company would be proud of.
I thank you for your endless patience, advice, and gentle reminders. NASW-Virginia wouldn't hesitate to do business with you for future upgrades, and we're always pleased to act as a very enthusiastic reference for your company.
Best Regards,
Christine Caravelli Cosby
